APSIA is launching a recognition program for members and affiliates to celebrate the hard work of the APSIA community and hold up innovative ideas.
All APSIA members and affiliates in good standing are eligible. Nominations should be made using the following links by May 21, 2021. A small committee will be brought together to evaluate the submissions based on set criteria.
- Innovation Award for Professional Development Programming will celebrate new or innovative programming to help graduate students develop professionally in the fields of international affairs within the last year.
- Intersection Award for Linking Theory and Practice will celebrate programs/events within the last year that connect current affairs, policymakers’ work, and/or people’s everyday lives to the broader tenets of international relations.
- Inclusion Award for Community Building will celebrate programs/efforts within the last year that deepen a sense of connection within the community, particularly to bridge different groups (ex: national and international students, faculty and students, new and returning students, students and alumni, people of different races or identities). Special consideration will be given to efforts which advance the participation of those who are traditionally underrepresented in that member’s or affiliate’s national context.
