Postdoctoral Fellowship in International Development

The Jackson Institute for Global Affairs and the Economic Growth Center (EGC) at Yale are seeking applications for a Postdoctoral Associate in international development for the 2021-22 academic year.

The Postdoctoral Fellow will conduct independent research and collaborate with Jackson Institute and EGC faculty, contributing to the intellectual life within and between the centers.  In the spring semester, the Fellow will be expected to teach Approaches to International Development, a core course for undergraduate students in Yale’s Global Affairs major.  The successful candidate will also be involved in multiple EGC data-oriented initiatives. This includes advising on the development of training materials for economics graduate students on Stata and potentially other programming packages.  In addition, the fellow will have the opportunity to collaborate with a set of EGC faculty on an initiative pushing forward data access and archiving as a public good for development research.

The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated ability in conducting high quality, policy-relevant research on topics in international development and economics.

This is a full-time position.  Fellows will be expected to be in full-time residence at Yale for the duration of their appointment.
