The School of Finance, Government and International Relations (FIGRI) of Universidad Externado de Colombia is a lay university known for its high standards in both its undergraduate and postgraduate programs.

Its students come from different parts on the country and also Latin America. They are exposed to lecturers and faculty that come from France, Spain, Finland, Bulgaria, the United States, Peru, Uruguay and Africa. They also enjoy the benefits such as career counseling and job placement. Furthermore, as they pursue a liberal education in international politics and foreign affairs, government and public policy, international finance and international cooperation and development projects, FIGRI prepares its students for careers in the public, private and non-profit sectors and university teaching. Our partnerships with SIPA at Columbia University and IEP in Paris offer students the possibility to access outstanding professors and courses without leaving the country.

The School features dedicated centers for Research and Special Projects, Africa, Asia, International Cooperation, Public Policy Research and Development and Negotiation and Conflict Resolution.
