Tenure-Track Assistant Professor in International Affairs Applied Methodology
The Department of International Affairs in the Bush School of Government and Public Service at Texas A&M University invites applications and nominations for a tenure-track, assistant professor position in the broad area of International Affairs with skill in applied quantitative methodology.
The Bush School of Government and Public Service has built an outstanding faculty who are looking to hire a collegial Assistant Professor. The successful candidate will be expected to teach more than one section of the required course in introductory-level quantitative methods. We are broadly open to a candidate’s regional and/or topical area of international affairs specialization, e.g., political violence, human rights, or international migration and refugees.
Bush School faculty exclusively teach master’s degree graduate students in international affairs in a standard 2-2 load. We have a preference for candidates who would also be able to teach more advanced methods courses, quantitative or qualitative, including GIS. Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Political Science, History, Geography, International Relations, or a related discipline by September 2020. The individual selected will have demonstrated a strong commitment to teaching and research in the context of a public policy graduate school environment. The start date for this position will be September 1,2020.
