Its goal is to increase access to affordable quality higher education for citizens of the Americas and support member states.

The 2 main OAS Scholarship Programs are:

It was established in 1958 and is the oldest OAS Scholarship Program. This program follows the OAS Manual of Procedures for the Scholarship and Training Program.

The Partnerships Program for Education and Training (PAEC) offers attractive scholarship opportunities, tuition waivers, and discounts for academic studies, with the support of partner institutions in OAS Member States and around the world. Scholarships are offered for professional development, undergraduate, and graduate programs leading to an academic degree or certificate. Operating since 2010, the PAEC is administered per the respective corporation agreement in line with the principles set forth in the OAS Manual of Procedures for the Scholarship and Training Program.
