UNA-USA Fellowship
A first-of-its-kind scholarship, the UNA-USA Fellowship provides financial support for American undergraduates who have received their bachelor’s degree within one year of graduation, and first year master’s students who have secured unpaid internships with the United Nations. If selected, Fellows can be awarded up to $13,000 for up to four months.
To be eligible for funding under the UNA-USA Fellowship, applicants must have already secured an unpaid internship with a UN agency prior to applying. UNA-USA reserves the right to review applicants following confirmation of internship and makes no guarantee that an applicant will receive a fellowship. Awards are based on eligibility requirements and the availability of funding. While there’s no hard deadline, UNA encourages applicants to apply at least one month prior to the start of the internship program. Once accepted as a fellow, students receive a stipend to cover up to four months of living expenses during the internship. All stipends are the Fellows to spend at their own discretion.
Applicants must be US citizens and either an undergraduate senior, one year out of undergraduate, or a first year graduate student.
