Professor of Practice, International Relations or Security
E University’s School of Politics, Economics, and Global Affairs SPEGA seeks applicants for a Professor-of-Practice (PoP) position in International Relations or International Security starting in the Fall of 2024.
We are especially interested in candidates with expertise in European Defense, US Foreign Policy, NATO, and related issues. We are also especially interested on candidates with expertise in Strategy, Risk, Foresight, and Scenario Planning.
The ideal candidate would combine extensive experience as a practitioner in the realm of international security with a PhD in international relations, political science, public policy, or a related field. In exceptional cases, the PhD requirement may be waived for high-level practitioners with a proven track record of policy-writing and applied research.
Professors of Practice at SPEGA fulfill the following roles:
a) Teaching courses that research faculty do not cover.
b) Providing students direct access to the world of practice.
c) Enhancing our global and organizational networks.
d) Convening events and activities.
e) Generating social impact and applied research.
