Published 07/09/2026 - From June 15 to 17, 2026, the Africa Institute for Research in Economics and Social Sciences (AIRESS) at Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P Rabat) proudly hosted the 2026 Economic Science Association (ESA) Africa Conference.

The conference brought together leading researchers, academics, and practitioners in experimental and behavioral economics from across Africa and beyond for three days of stimulating discussions, cutting-edge research presentations, and meaningful academic exchange.

The program featured keynote lectures, design-talk sessions, and a roundtable on "From Observational to Experimental Evaluation: Lessons from a Moroccan Education Program," exploring topics ranging from education, labor, and gender to artificial intelligence, experimental platforms, beliefs and decision-making, and field and community interventions.

Beyond the academic sessions, participants also had the opportunity to discover Rabat's rich cultural and historical heritage, creating valuable opportunities for networking and cross-cultural exchange.
