
Michelle Reddy is Executive Director of APSIA. Previously, Michelle was an Assistant Adjunct Professor and Program Director of the Master of Development Practice (MDP) at UC Berkeley, where she focused on teaching, curriculum development and strategic planning. Michelle managed the MDP team, which included admissions and career services.
Michelle received her PhD from Stanford University in 2019 in International Comparative Education, and a Master’s in Political Science also from Stanford. Michelle was Assistant Dean at the Paris School of International Affairs, Sciences Po, when it was launched in 2010 and through 2014. During her time at Sciences Po, she participated in APSIA recruitment fairs in Brussels, Paris, California, Bogota, and Sao Paulo, and has great memories of this network.
Michelle has been a lecturer at Stanford and Sciences Po, a postdoc at Sciences Po’s Center for International Research (CERI), a Fulbright scholar, and worked for UNESCO, UNOWA, Columbia University, the City University of New York (CUNY), as well as the Earth Institute, and founded her own consulting company. She also holds master’s degrees in higher education administration (Columbia University), and international education development (Columbia University). Michelle is originally from Brooklyn, NY and a dual citizen of Ireland, and has spent the past 14 years in Senegal, France, Guinea, Sierra Leone, and California.
Briana Suarez is the Senior Recruitment and Operations Manager at APSIA. In her position, she manages recruitment programming and events worldwide to connect prospective students with graduate school programs; surveys higher education trends; and works with outside partners/employers across multiple sectors of international affairs and public policy. She began her career at APSIA as the Forum Fellow in 2018.
Originally from New York City, she completed her undergraduate degree in International Affairs and French at the State University of New York, New Paltz. She graduated with a Master’s of Arts in Security Policy Studies from The Elliott School of International Affairs, George Washington University, where she specialized in Conflict/Conflict Resolution and Intelligence during her time there. Previous to her position at APSIA, she worked at Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières on the Marketing Team. She speaks three languages: English, Spanish, and French.
Rebekah Korver is a Program Coordinator with APSIA. Her work focuses on external and internal communications. She also manages APSIA’s engagement with undergraduate advisors and APSIA school staff across alumni relations, communications, career services, and development offices.
As a nonprofit professional, Rebekah has eight years of experience in refugee services. During this time, she worked on volunteer management, government affairs, and refugee resettlement program coordination. She holds a Bachelor’s in Philosophy from the University of the South and a Master’s in Conflict Analysis & Resolution from George Mason University. Rebekah is a Returned Peace Corps Volunteer (China, 2014-2016).
Sofia Kutseva is a Program Coordinator with APSIA. She works closely with APSIA leaderships and oversees internal operations. Also, her responsibilities include programming for Deans and special projects.
Originally from Russia, Sofia studied at Saint Petersburg State University, at Smonly College. In 2016, came to the US to study and teach Russian language courses at Grinnell College. After that, Sofia earned an MA in Slavic Studies from University of Illinois, Chicago. For several years before joining APSIA, Sofia worked as a Program Director for A.S.E. Global Bridges (formerly the Russian American Foundation). During this time, Sofia coordinated three seasons of the Bolshoi Ballet Academy Summer Intensive, which brought the Academy’s teachers to the US for an exclusive series of master classes and lessons.
