SGI Frontier Capital (www.cerberus.com/investment-platforms/sgi-frontier-capital), the frontier markets investment platform of Cerberus Capital Management, is offering internships for qualified candidates interested in learning about investing in frontier markets while living and working in Mongolia. SGI is the only American private equity firm that is actively investing in Mongolia, where the firm maintains a fully-staffed office. The firm has a robust portfolio of both debt and equity investments in the country, and manages a long-term debt facility anchored by a leading development finance institution.
You will work alongside our Associates and Analysts on specific investment projects, as well as assist in the management and development of portfolio businesses, and other tasks and initiatives as required. The position will provide you with exposure to a range of investment structures from senior secured debt and mezzanine financing to direct equity placements in a frontier context. Given the firm’s commitment to a Double Bottom Line investment philosophy, team members will also have the opportunity to work with local small and medium-sized enterprises to analyze operational practices and contribute to developing and building sustainable businesses.
The next twelve-week internship will begin in May/June 2019, and the application closing date will be April 15, 2019. Candidates for the intern position must have recently completed their undergraduate degree or be current/recent graduate students in the fields of finance, business, or economics.
