Paulina Guzman is a Global Engagement Officer in the City of Atlanta Mayor's Office of International Affairs.
As Global Engagement Officer, Ms. Guzman advises, assists, and supports city officials on matters of diplomatic procedure and is responsible for planning visits and welcoming diplomats, foreign officials and other distinguished guests to Atlanta. She also serves as the liaison to the Atlanta Sister Cities Commission and its 17 sister cities.
She began as the International Affairs Coordinator in the Mayor’s Office where she worked closely with Atlanta-based academic institutions to expand their international reach and programs. Assisted team in executing inbound and outbound exchanges by providing market research and briefings, in addition to leading the office's marketing efforts. Previously she was the Membership Manager for the World Affairs Council of Atlanta. Ms. Guzman earned a Master of Science in International Relations and Affairs from the Georgia Institute of Technology Nunn School of International Affairs and a Bachelor's of Political Science and Economics from Georgia State University. She was a Co-Chair of the Global Shapers Participants Committee for SHAPE NAC 2019.
