Yanki applied to MIEF after researching other programs because of the international approach of the classes and research. He was confident the program would offer him strong analytical and quantitative skills, as well as the opportunity to learn from highly respected faculty in the economics field. He was also drawn to the program’s location in Washington, DC, which would provide him the invaluable opportunity to network and start a career in the field of economic policy –making and research. While at the school, Yanki said that he has been very grateful to study with students from very diverse backgrounds.
Outside of the classroom, Yanki is the president of the school’s International Finance Club, where he informs his fellow classmates about career options in finance. He also hosts high-level speakers to inform the community about the current situation in the world of economics and finance. As chair of the MIEF Ambassadorship Committee, Yanki has had the opportunity to improve his leadership skills. He has also co-authored a paper on monetary policy during his studies.
After graduating, Yanki is interested in working for organizations such at the International Monetary Fund where he can continue focusing on international finance and monetary economics.
