Communications and Administrative Coordinator

Harvard Kennedy School’s central communications office seeks a motivated and mission-driven self-starter to join our team as the next Communications and Administrative Coordinator. The Communications and Administrative Coordinator performs a variety of administrative functions in support of Harvard Kennedy School’s central Office of Communications & Public Affairs (OCPA). OCPA is a talented and committed team of 15 digital, design, editorial, marketing, and media relations professionals and content creators who work to advance the school’s mission, amplify, and democratize HKS research, knowledge, and insights, and strengthen the school’s reputation with thought leaders, policymakers, prospective students, supporters, and the public. Reporting directly to the Chief Communications Officer (CCO), duties include supporting the CCO with a variety of administrative activities (50%) and assisting with the public information, media relations, communications, and digital functions of the office (50%). The position requires a highly organized professional with strong problem-solving skills, sound judgment, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team in a collaborative, fast-paced, and highly rewarding environment.
