Global Americans Spring 2024 Internships
As an intern at Global Americans, you will have the unique opportunity to work alongside some of the most experienced experts in the region. You will be challenged to think critically and creatively about the complex issues facing North, Central, and South America today, and to develop new insights and perspectives that can help shape the policy discourse in these important areas. Whether you are interested in pursuing a career in international relations, public policy, or social justice, our internship program will give you the tools you need to succeed.
What We Offer
Our internship program offers students and graduates the skills and experience they need to start their careers in the private sector, government, or civil society. Interns play a vital role in our organization’s daily operations and have the opportunity to work alongside experienced experts in the region. The program ensures that interns can make a lasting impact on the policy landscape of Latin America and the Caribbean, whether through research, communications, or editorial work.
We are currently hiring interns for three different teams:
Research & Newsletter Intern
This role is designed to provide you with hands-on experience in researching and writing for our newsletter, while also working with our team to supporting the development of publications such as explainers and reports. As an intern, you will have the chance to learn about the latest trends in your field, as well as contribute your own ideas and perspectives to our team. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse group of professionals, including writers and editors, to help ensure that our content is of the highest quality and relevance. Ultimately, this internship is an excellent opportunity for anyone interested in pursuing a career in research, writing, or content creation.
Editorial Intern
As part of this role, you will assist with proofreading, fact-checking, and collaborating with the editorial team on the content that our contributors produce. You will gain valuable experience in journalism and have the opportunity to develop your skills in writing, editing, and communication. This position offers a unique chance for growth and learning in a dynamic and exciting industry.
Social Media & Communications Intern
In this role you will manage social media accounts and help coordinate events. You’ll work with the team to develop communication strategies while ensuring brand consistency across all platforms. You’ll also assist in market research, analyze data, and create content for various marketing channels. Your work will increase the company’s visibility and contribute to building a strong brand image.
