Ready to Make a World of Difference?

UNite as an intern at the United Nations!

These positions are in the Office of Supply Chain Management (OSCM) in the Department of Operational Support (DOS). We provide operational support and guidance to UN entities around the globe. We support our UN clients and partners to fulfill their mandates by providing the goods and services they need, when they need them, where they need them, and at the best price.  Our dynamic workforce strives toward innovative solutions that require skills in data, analytics, communication, design, research, and project management.

Our internship program can last anywhere from 2 to 6 months and can be full-time, part-time, in-person, hybrid (partly in-person and partly remote), or fully remote.

Responsibilities

Our interns work as full members of our team, pursue projects that are designed to make a significant difference in OSCM, and have opportunities to learn about the United Nations overall.

OSCM offers internships in four areas: Executive and Management Support, Analytics, and Business Intelligence, Strategic and Project Support, and Communications and Design. These tracks require various skills such as writing, organizing, data analysis, project management, and design. Interns will assist in tasks such as preparing reports, analyzing data, developing dashboards, and designing corporate identity products, among others.

Effective communication, good planning and organizing skills, and technological awareness are important competencies. This includes clear speaking and writing, active listening, goal setting, prioritizing tasks, allocating resources, and keeping up with emerging technology. It is also important to tailor communication to the audience and anticipate and plan for potential risks.
