Legal Fellow
General Duties and Responsibilities
Conduct legal research concerning atrocity crimes, economic sanctions, and/or reparations frameworks
Research and write legal memoranda concerning issues surrounding documentation, national and international prosecutions of atrocity crimes in Syria
Support the research and writing of SJAC’s human rights and transitional justice reports and short-form analysis
Skills and Experience
Current law student in, or recent graduate of, a J.D. or L.L.M. program
Coursework in international law, human rights law, international criminal law, and/or evidence preferred
Experience working in or knowledge of the Middle East
Strong written and oral communication skills
Knowledge of Arabic an asset
