Program Officer, Center for Diplomatic Engagement,

The Program Officer is responsible for day-to-day planning and management of Center for Diplomatic Engagement convening programs within several different formats from roundtable conversations and fire-side chats to panel discussions and networking receptions. This includes each phase of the event process from conception and design to production and post-event deliverables. The Program Officer supervises Center fellows and contributes to written content for Meridian’s website and social media platforms.

This position is located in Washington D.C. and Meridian requires MD, DC, or VA residence for all employees. The position may work partially remotely until further notice. Effective January 4, 2022, all Meridian staff are required to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19, unless a reasonable medical or religious accommodation is approved.

This is a mid-level position with room to grow into a senior role. The program officer designs and executes a series of convening programs for foreign diplomats to engage with the U.S. public and private sectors. This includes arranging briefings with members of the Administration and Congress as well as building out thematic programs in collaboration with our corporate partners on topics such as emerging technology, energy transition, climate change, global health, etc. A.I. and cyber security will be two areas of focus this year so background or interest in those areas is a plus.
