LGBTQ History Month: Watch last week’s National Coming Out Day event
LGBTQ History Month is celebrated annually throughout the
month of October to observe lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender history. Throughout October, the HKS community comes together to celebrate
the contributions of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer people and reflect
on the issues that the community faces.
Last week, LGBTQ+ activists came together at a John F. Kennedy
Jr. Forum event to share their experiences for National Coming Out Day, an
annual day of awareness in support of the LGBTQ+ community.
The event was sponsored by the Institute of Politics and the
Shorenstein Center on Media, Politics and Public Policy, and moderated by David
Grasso MPP 2009, the CEO of Bold TV.
