2023 Annual Awards

The APSIA Awards are an annual recognition program celebrating the hard work of the APSIA community. Students, alumni, faculty, staff, and friends may nominate APSIA members and affiliates for any of our three (3) Awards. Please submit your nomination(s) by 11:59pm ET on Tuesday, March 28, 2023.

 

The Inclusion Award for Community Building celebrates programs/efforts within the last year that deepened a sense of connection within the community, particularly those that bridged different groups. Learn more here.

 

The Innovation Award for Professional Development Programming celebrates innovative programming that helped graduate students develop professionally in the fields of international affairs within the last year. Learn more here.

 

The Intersection Award for Linking Theory and Practice celebrates programs/events within the last year that connected current affairs, policymakers’ work, and/or people’s everyday lives to the broader tenets of international relations. Learn more here.

 

How to nominate

To compete, schools must be an APSIA member or affiliate in good standing. Nominations are accepted until 11:59pm (US Eastern Time) on Tuesday, March 21, 2023.

Nominations are open to the public, meaning anyone is eligible to nominate any APSIA institution(s) for the awards. Individuals may submit more than one nomination. Please use the blue “nominate here” buttons above or the links below to submit your nomination forms(s).

 

The evaluation process

The Selection Committee consists of 5 representatives from APSIA institutions. Upon election by APSIA staff each year, the selection committee will read and score each nomination by late May.

 

When will the 2023 APSIA Award winners be announced? 

We expect to announce the winners of the APSIA Annual Awards in early summer. Winners will be notified by email individually. Then, this great news will be shared across our social media (Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, and Newsletters).
